A veteran and a Dartmouth MBA, he founded Quinn Reed Associates in 2005 and previously worked in the strategy practice of Accenture and the government practice of CGI. In volunteering, John cares about education and supporting children and veterans. He has a history of board service, for example as the president of an inner-city Houston school, the Nehemiah Center. He supports institutions including the Honor Foundation, the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Dartmouth College and Deerfield Academy.

He and his wife Perry Ann, a senior healthcare leader, have four children.
