Coaching is my favorite type of leadership development. I use a three-step process, which includes discovery of strengths, recognizing possibilities, and taking action.As a lifelong learner, I really enjoy continuing to learn and grow and sharing what I have learned with others. There are a number of tools which I am certified to use which I find useful and even fun for my coaching clients to use. One is Everything DiSC®, for which I am an Authorized Partner. Everything DiSC helps us gain a better understanding of who we are and our preferences for communicating at work. I like to link Everything DiSC results to Strengths Finder 2.0 and Emotional Intelligence 2.0 assessment, which I ask all of my clients to complete. All of these tools help clients to improve their self-awareness and to gain a better understanding of how this information informs their work and behavior. This discovery informs the rest of our coaching, which includes establishing measurable coaching goals (SMART goals), considering possibilities, and establishing and taking action.
